Kansas City, MO-based, $10.3 billion-asset UMB Financial Corp, through UMB Bank, has acquired the corporate trust business of Denver, CO-based American National Bank. The business’ 1,400 accounts and $3 billion in assets under management are merging into UMB Corporate Trust and Escrow Service (UMB Trust) and will be managed by the company’s Denver office. UMB Bank Colorado CEO Jon Robinson said, “We have made a commitment to be the leading corporate trust advisor in the Rocky Mountain region. The acquisition cements our leadership position in Colorado and helps establish a stronger position in the surrounding Rocky Mountain region.” UMB Trust currently has offices in Denver, Kansas City, St. Louis, Indianapolis, Oklahoma City and Wichita.
